Mosaic Classes
I teach a variety of mosaic classes throughout the year. Please click

I am also available for community workshops, both in and
outside of Edmonton, as well as artist residencies in schools.
All classes are located at Margo's home based studio in Bonnie Doon.
Mosaic Tabletops: the Indirect Direct Method

In this intermediate course, participants will mosaic a table top of your choosing, learning the following techniques:
- installing of temporarily mounted mosaic onto the tabletop, producing a flat surface
Please contact me to determine the suitability of the table you wish to use. Table tops chosen must be smaller than 16" by 16". If you prefer to do all your work in class time, I advise you to choose a small table top. A previous mosaic course or other similar experience will be necessary.

3D Glass on Glass Mosaics
|
|
|
Learn about creating a glass on glass mosaic while creating a 4 sided glass lamp that looks gorgeous when lit up. Returning intermediate students will have a will have a choice of working on a 2D glass on glass panel project, or on a 3D curved glass base. Participants will learn.designing for glass mosaics, cutting tile, laying tile, and grouting.

Deposit is retained due to our commitment to our students. This will help ensure that last minute cancellations will
not cancel the class and therefore disappoint other students. This deposit cannot be applied towards future classes.
In the event that the instructor cancels the class, your deposit is refundable, or may be used as a
deposit towards another class.
Christmas Ornaments

In this "quickie" mosaic course, participants will learn techniques associated with glass on glass mosaic work and 3D mosaic work. Students will create a ball type Christmas ornament in the first class and will grout in the second class. Students can also borrow tools and materials for the week to create more ornaments, and grout all of them the second week. All materials supplied.

Introduction to Mosaics
|
|
|
Learn the basics of mosaic while creating a 10" square mirror frame suitable for indoor use. Students will learn the following mosaic techniques:
- designing
- cutting
- laying tile
- grouting
The goal of the course is to enable participants to make an indoor mosaic on their own.

Fine Art Mosaics
|
|
|
Ready to take your mosaicking to the next level? Learn how to use mosaic as a fine art medium while working on a project of your choice. Margo will be available to consult on your project via phone and email prior to the class. Please come to the first class with your project ready to start. Course material and lectures will be based on student needs.
